Sportsmens was unable to attend the Texas Taxidermy Association convention in 2008 due to other commitments. In 2009 Sportsmens won the "Second Place Best Studio in Texas" award. The Studio Division is for competition pieces that are created by one or more artists. The piece is entered under the studio name and each artist is listed as a participant in the entry. This is the only real "head to head" competition the Texas Taxidermy Association offers, and is a great opportunity for a studio to be judged "Best Studio in Texas".
Joe was recognized as a Gold Member in the 2008/2009 edition of the Cambridge Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry on June 03, 2008.
