Joe was recognized as a Gold Member in the 2008/2009 edition of the Cambridge Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry on June 03, 2008.
Again in 2007, Sportsmens was awarded "Best Studio in Texas" at the Texas Taxidermy Association convention. The Studio Division is for competition pieces that are created by one or more artists. The piece is entered under the studio name and each artist is listed as a participant in the entry. This is the only real "head to head" competition the Texas Taxidermy Association offers, and is a great opportunity for a studio to be judged "Best Studio in Texas".
Also in 2007, Joe won a 2nd place ribbon in the Texas Taxidermy Association Master's Division for an African Lion mount. The Lion was shot by Marc Watts of Sable Trail Productions, and featured in his video "The Mane Event". For further information on these or any other subjects, email us at:
